Who are we looking for?

The Client Care Manager is an individual who is detail oriented, thrives on helping people, is smart as a whip at solving problems, and has vast experience & proven success in juggling many priorities through systems and organization. People feel happy and cared for when they interact with this person. This individual is patient and not easily flustered. H/she has a strong sense of urgency, but not at the expense of quality. In addition, he/she demonstrates integrity, shares our team values, has a work ethic that is higher than most, and a history of being a high achiever who craves accountability to results and is very coachable. The Client Care Manager must be comfortable being uncomfortable as part of a team who is always looking to grow, while at the same time enjoy having a schedule and checking things off the list daily. What will you do?

Your mission is to provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire listing and closing process, service that is so extraordinary that Buyer & Seller clients will write Five Star reviews and send referrals.

In addition, our agent partners are your clients. Your role is a vital part of the value proposition for agent partners on our team and as such helps ensure retention by providing our agents with a higher level of service than any other team, taking all admin tasks off their plate so they can focus on income producing activities.

As the Listing & Transaction Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that clients receive the best possible care during the listing and closing process and for making sure no detail goes unnoticed. This position requires both the ability to take detailed direction and carry out a project, and also to complete a task with minimal direction. You will oversee detailed projects and ensure they are perfect in every way. Your role is to ensure no balls are dropped, that all details are followed through, that the team and the client are well protected, and that clients are beyond happy.

 Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Manage the administrative side of the Listing Process from Pre-Listing to Contract
  • Implement & improve all systems for the Listing & Closing process
  • Client Care – make each client feel like they are the only client we have – solve problems, provide service, exceed expectations.
  • Work closely with agents. Handle all admin tasks to ensure agents’ focus is only on income generating activities.
  • Maintain database, assist with client events.
  • Create and maintain an operations manual/web sites/videos that document all listing & closing systems and standards
  • Create and maintain templates in Zip Forms for listing & closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Belt Team standards & regulations.

The Belt Team sells lots of homes to first-time homebuyers and invariably when we meet for the first time, there are lots of misconceptions about what it takes to buy a home. How much money you need for a down payment is almost always one of them.

According to a recent survey conducted by Genworth Financial Inc. at the Annual Mortgage Bankers’ Association Secondary Market Conference, mortgage professionals say that first-time buyers still believe a 20% down payment is necessary to buy in today’s market.

Nearly 40% of mortgage industry professionals surveyed believe that a lack of knowledge about the home-buying process is keeping potential buyers on the sidelines. Saving for a down payment is often cited as a huge barrier for first-time homebuyers to make the leap into homeownership.

If homeowners believe that they need a 20% down payment to enter the market, they also believe that they will have to wait years (in some markets) to come up with the necessary funds to buy their dream homes.

The greatest source of confusion cited in the survey results centered around down payments. The results are broken down in the chart below:

Rohit Gupta, CEO of Genworth Mortgage Insurance had this to say,

“While first-time homebuyers continue to drive the purchase market, we believe many are staying on the sidelines due to the misconception that a 20 percent down payment is required to secure a mortgage.

There are various low down payment options available today that allow prospective homebuyers to reach their dreams of homeownership sooner. It is crucial that, as an industry, we proactively educate eligible borrowers about solutions that will enable them to buy a home when they’re ready.”

4th of July Fireworks and More in Northern VA in 2017

It’s super fun to live in a historic area like Northern VA, especially on July 4th when the skies light up with fireworks all around. We polled one of Northern VA’s top real estate teams (The Belt Team) for their favorite celebrations and here they are for your enjoyment. Happy Birthday America!

Lake Fairfax Park – Fireworks, food & family fun.

Tuesday, July 4th

Vienna’s July 4th Festival – fireworks at Southside Park. Seating available at Yeonas Park & near the playground at Southside Park. Music begins at 7:15 with popular local band Fat Chance, with fireworks at dark (approx 9:30). There will also be a pie eating contest and a hot dog eating contest!

McLean’s Independence Day Celebration – Fireworks at Churchill Elementary School. Snack vendors & a DJ. Grounds open at 6:30 PM. Fireworks at 9:30.

Herndon’s 4th of July Celebration –  a classic celebration featuring entertainment, arts & crafts activities, bingo, and family games. Fireworks are choreographed to music and start at 9:30PM.

Great Falls Hometown Celebration – Great Falls does it up right with an ALL DAY celebration including a 5K Walk/Run, blood drive, parades, music, food & more! Fireworks are at Turner Farm Park after dusk.

Fairfax 51st Annual Independence Day Celebration – The show starts at 6 PM at Fairfax High School with music and dancing on stage. Fireworks follow the show at 9:30, with music continuing afterwards. Earlier in the day you can enjoy the parade down Main Street, along with the SuperHero Fest, Old Fashioned Firemen’s Day & more!

THE BIG DADDY OF THEM ALL – The National Mall Fourth of July Celebration – Everyone has to do this at least once! There are concerts and fireworks and LOTS of fun amidst the most incredible background you could ever imagine. You can view the fireworks from VA or DC. If you plan to be on the Mall, prepare early because there will be security.

That’s what Belt Team clients had to decide last week. A whole lot easier than deciding which house to buy, right?!

Thanks to all of our wonderful past clients who helped The Belt Team continue our 50th Anniversary celebration with Happy Hour and a (belated) Pi Day celebration. We were originally scheduled to get together on March 14th (Pi Day – get it? 3.14!) and we got snowed out. Instead we gathered for Pie Day 2.1 a week later. No problem – every day is a good day for pie!

It was so much fun to catch up with everyone and to hear about new babies expected imminently, home renovations, new jobs, kids graduating from college and all the milestones celebrated along the way. We had one client at our event who we helped buy her home in 1982, and clients who bought their homes with The Belt Team just this month. Home is where the heart is and our hearts are with our clients.
